Zebra’s ZD620 is one of the few thermal desktop printers that can print both 1” core direct thermal and 1” core thermal transfer labels.

If you’re using thermal transfer labels, you will need to purchase a thermal transfer ribbon. 

You’ll want to make sure your ribbon is loaded into your printer correctly. In need of help?

Below are the instructions for how to load ribbon into a Zebra ZD620:

  1. Open the printer
  2. Slide a used core onto the Ribbon Core Adapter
  3. Insert the ribbon on the Lower Spindle ink side out and pull the ribbon toward the used core
  4. Wind the Take-Up Spindle towards the back of the printer until the ribbon fully covers the Take-Up Core
  5. Stick a label onto the ribbon to ensure the ribbon is ink side out
  6. Close the Printer
