Label & Ribbon Return Policy
Stock Products
Smith Corona accepts product returns for any stock label or ribbon order within 60 days of purchase. If the product you receive is defective or does not meet your expectations, we will happily provide a full refund.
If an order needs to be exchanged due to the wrong item being purchased, a full refund less the shipping will be offered.

Product returns will only be accepted with a valid Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) number displayed on the outside of the returned package. You will be given that required information after initiating a return request.
Non Stock Products (Made to Order)
If you purchase an item that is considered non-stock (made to order), our customer service team will provide a detailed specifications sheet for review. Once approved and signed, we will begin production on this made to order item.
If there is a defect in the label that is produced, we will refund or replace the order. Outside of a defect in the label, Smith Corona does not offer returns for made to order items.
Printer Return Policy
Standard Product Return
Products may be returned within 30 days of sale with valid RMA number.
Product must be returned in its original packaging including all accessories, bags, compact discs (cd), and manuals.
We will not accept a return if the product is opened or used.
Items received out side of stated timeframe or in unacceptable condition will not be credited and will be returned to sender.
Credit for returned items will be issued IF shipping label lists the RMA number; if there is a problem or delay issuing credit, the tracking number must be provided to Smith Corona.
As a precaution, return product "Insured" via a carrier that provides online tracking.
The product must arrive at Smith Corona within 10 days of the RMA being issued.
Special Order products cannot be returned.
Defective / "Dead On Arrival" (DOA) Product
can be returned within 30 days of sale meeting specified criteriaDefective product must include a case number or confirmation name from the appropriate manufacturer.
Defective products older than 30 days will be covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Claims for goods damaged in transit MUST be received within 14 calendar days of shipment.
For product shipping on Smith Corona's account number, claims are handled between Smith Corona and the carrier, outside of normal RMA procedure.
For product shipping on customer account number, claims are handled between the customer and the carrier.
Returns Process
After confirming that the product in question meets all return requirements, contact Smith Corona for an RMA number.
Smith Corona will issue an RMA number.
Items returned will be shipped at customer expense and all items must be insured.
Items We Will Not Accept For Return - Hardware
Opened and used products
Original box is missing or damaged
Any/all packing/manuals/materials or accessories are missing or damaged
Serial numbers do not match the referenced invoice
Referencing RMA number is not included with the return
Pictures will be shared with the customer upon request for product condition verification
Items We Will Not Accept For Return - Software
Any open box
Referencing RMA number is not included with the return
Any software upgrade that has a referencing serial number
Smith Corona's Responsibility for Shipping Errors
RMA # will be given to the customer
The product can be shipped back via ground service on Smith Corona's shipping number
Credit will be given when product is received in original boxes unopened and/or with all packing/materials/accessories included
