Orders of this quantity will generally ship small parcel, via UPS.
Alternatively, if you have a FedEx account, you are welcome to use your account and ship collect with that carrier. Either way, we always recommend our customers increase their order quantity high enough to qualify for LTL shipping as that is the cheapest option on a per case basis.
Orders of this quantity will generally ship LTL.
The only requirement is that your order will need a dock for the pallet to be unloaded onto. If you do not have a dock, please let us know at checkout so we can arrange special delivery. We always recommend customers choose LTL as it is the cheapest and safest way for your labels to be shipped.

The Epson ColorWorks Series features highly durable, pigment-based inks, available in both gloss and matte versions to meet a range of label application needs.
The gloss ink version includes gloss black ink, optimized for printing on the widest variety of media types, such as paper and synthetic materials, and supports various finishes including glossy, matte, plain, textured, and more.
The matte ink version uses matte black ink, delivering deeper, sharper blacks for text and images when printed on matte, textured, or plain paper label media, compared to gloss. Both versions use the same CMYK color cartridges and are BS5609 certified for durability and compliance.
| Media | Gloss Black Ink | Matte Black Ink |
|---|---|---|
| Matte Paper | Good Image | Richer Image - Darker Black |
| Matte Polypropylene | Good Image | Richer Image - Darker Black |

Genuine Epson ink cartridges are made for the ColorWorks CW-C8000 and give you sharp, durable, professional color labels for high-speed, high-volume production. The C8000 uses pigment-based ink that dries fast and resists smudging, smearing, and fading, which makes it a great fit for GHS and industrial labels, product branding, compliance labeling, and more.
The C8000 uses four individual high-capacity ink packs: Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. Each pack holds 480 mL of ink, so you can print more labels between changes, and since every color is separate, you only replace the color that runs out.
The C8000 can be ordered as a matte or gloss printer, and each version uses its own black ink. The matte version uses Matte Black, and the gloss version uses Gloss Black. Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow are the same for both versions. Make sure the black ink pack you choose matches your printer’s version.
At Smith Corona, we offer competitive pricing and expert support to keep your C8000 printing at its best. Keep spare ink on hand so your production line stays up and running.
The C8000 uses genuine Epson ink packs in Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and either Matte Black or Gloss Black, depending on your printer’s version. Ink for other ColorWorks printers won’t work in the C8000.
Yes. All ink cartridges we sell are genuine Epson ColorWorks cartridges, made for consistent color, reliable print quality, and the best performance from your printer.
It depends on your printer’s version. The matte C8000 uses Matte Black, and the gloss C8000 uses Gloss Black. The two blacks aren’t interchangeable, so check your printer’s version before ordering.
No. Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow work in both versions of the C8000. Only the black ink pack is different.
Yes. The C8000 uses a separate ink pack for each color, so you only replace the color that runs out.
Each C8000 ink pack holds 480 mL of ink, so it’s built for high-volume printing. How many labels you get depends on your label size and how much ink each design uses. Labels with large areas of solid color use more ink than labels with mostly text or small graphics.
Pigment ink produces long-lasting, smudge-resistant labels designed for durability. It’s a great fit for labels that need to hold up over time, like compliance labels, chemical labels, and product labels.
Yes, when it’s paired with the right labels. BS5609 is a durability standard for chemical and hazardous material labels, like GHS drum labels, that need to stay readable through long exposure to salt water, sunlight, and harsh conditions. BS5609 certifies the ink and label together, so to print compliant labels, use C8000 ink with a certified label material.
Your printer’s control panel shows ink levels and alerts you when an ink pack is low.
The C8000 uses a small amount of ink for routine maintenance, such as print head cleaning, to keep print quality consistent. This waste ink collects in the SJMB7500 maintenance box.
Keep unopened ink packs in their original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use them before the date printed on the package.
We recommend genuine Epson ink. Damage caused by third-party or refilled ink may not be covered by your printer’s warranty.
Yes. Unopened ink cartridges can be returned within 30 days of purchase. An RMA number is required for all returns. See the Returns tab for details.
